Duties

Recruitment and Staffing Management:

Conduct and facilitate weekly new hire orientation and welcome new staff to BronxWorks
Effectively engage new employees and ensure understanding of agency policies, expectations, benefits, and other relevant information
Exercise good judgment and understanding of job requirements and competencies to effectively screen resumes, refer pool(s) of candidates to hiring managers in a collaborative fashion
Effectively build a rapport with community partners locally and in tristate area to attract top talent for vacancies
Assist program areas with preparing attractive job descriptions as well as coordinate, schedule target recruiting events in addition to, monthly meetings to address recruiting and staffing needs
Assess, monitor, and communicate performance regarding key recruitment metrics i.e., Comprehensive Recruitment List: number of requisitions, number of vacancies, time to fill vacancies, hard-to-fill vacancies etc.
Collaborate with Human Resources team specifically HR Associate(s) and HR Assistant with overall recruitment life cycle from 0-100% completion
Provide adequate support and assistance as needed with new hire process i.e., posting/closing requisitions; conducting reference checks; processing background check clearances; quality assurance checks for new hire packets; and creating ADP profiles for new hires

Qualifications

Full vaccination against COVID-19 required
Bachelors level degree required; HR Certification preferred
3-5 years of progressive HR experience in one of the following areas: onboarding, recruitment, employee relations and/or benefit administration
Experience with full life cycle recruitment in a high pace environment
Strong oral and written communication, time management, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology required.
