iDE’s Human Resources Generalist is responsible for a wide variety of administrative tasks within the human resources department. General tasks can include but are not limited to recruiting candidates for open positions, interviewing potential new hires, following up on resume information and references, and submitting hiring recommendations to department heads and executives. iDE’s HR Generalist is responsible for conducting new employee orientation sessions for new hires and for recent transfers from within iDE. The HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing and administering employee benefits, including 403B, disability coverage, life and health insurance, and parental leave. The HR Generalist also manages all insurance billing, maintains employee database and files, and ensures all paperwork is completed in advance of payroll processing
To be successful in this role, you should be a great communicator with high emotional intelligence, strong knowledge about employee benefits and the various laws and regulations that apply to them, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizing skills. You must have a calling to serve others.
Finally, as the HR Generalist, you will frequently have access to sensitive employee information, such as payroll or compensation data, personnel files, performance reviews, background checks, and disciplinary reports and are expected to maintain confidentiality at all times.
2 - 4+ years of HR generalist and benefits administration experience
Working knowledge of HR compliance both state and federal
Effective Writing & Verbal Communication Skills
Ability to Maintain Employee Files
Experience Onboarding/Offboarding Employees
Excellent Organizational Skills
Attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy
Associates degree and/or BA in Business, HR, or related field
Professional certification (PHR I SPHR I CBA)
Familiarity with benefits and payroll software
