About the organization

The vision for TLC International School was the result of a recognized need in Mauritania for an affordable high quality, American style education delivered in English. TLC began as a privately owned school in September of 2006. The first months of school began with 15 students from Preschool to Kindergarten. It was TLC’s goal to begin with young children who were not fluent in English and continue to add on additional grades as these children progressed and matured.
TLC continues to follow the established guideline focused on high academic standards. TLC has continued to grow. There are currently approximately 180 students from over 20 countries worldwide.


TLC has a small high school of less than 40 students. The candidate will be responsible for teaching math and science for high school students in grades 9-12. Including advanced algebra, geometry, physics, and chemistry. The candidate will be responsible for teaching in person and/or using Google Meets and Google Classrooms to teach depending on what is deemed necessary and safe by the school administration as well as the government.


Certification in teaching math and/or science in high school or relevant degree as well as experience working with students preferably in a classroom setting. Ability to adapt to change and patience teaching students who may struggle especially when distance learning.


$26,000, round trip airfare, furnished housing, $100 towards utilities, moving in allowance, SOS Insurance and more
