Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Provide policy and technical input in the development of appropriate HIV prevention, care and treatment strategies
Serve as a contact point for all matters related to US-host military HIV/AIDS issues
Work with USG and NGO partners to implement the HIV/AIDS prevention plan
Participate in policymaking and technical discussions with decision-makers from host-country government on HIV/AIDS issues as appropriate
Identify funding opportunities, request funding, and assist with preparation of proposals
Liaison with appropriate in-country members
Coordinate activities with Unified Combatant Commands
Implement the planned prevention strategy
Provide program oversight, milestone monitoring, and evaluation including implementing partners
Provide financial oversight and review for appropriate disbursement including implementing partners etc.
Must be sole US Citizen (no dual citizenship) and able to obtain a Public Trust
Minimum of a master's degree in a relevant technical field from an accredited college or university
Two+ years of HIV-related experience
Two+ years of experience in international health, health sciences, or in HIV/AIDS programs
Written and oral proficiency in English
Communicate effectively and accurately with all categories of project employees and USG, NGO, and local government officials
Knowledge of concepts, principles, techniques and practices of HIV/AIDS prevention, care, treatment, and support programs is desired
Ability to interact positively and professionally within an academic/evidence-based environment. Have excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Possess strong monitoring and evaluation skills
Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in an established culturally diverse team setting
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be flexible in responding to changing demands, timelines, and priorities
