ACDI/VOCA has approximately 34 projects in 19 countries and total revenues of approximately $128 million.


Primary activities include but are not limited to: manage and report on Help Desk ticketing system; advise both HQ and field offices on setup of local area networks and their configuration; manage diagnosis and resolution of user issues on ACDI/VOCA hardware and software, including Windows 10, network connectivity, single sign-on and Office Professional 2016; advise HQ and field offices with selection and acquisition of hardware and software; manage global hardware and software inventory; provide users with face to face and remote support; provide training and instruction to Both HQ and Field staff on use of ACDI/VOCA tools; travel to field offices to assess operations and advise on improvements.

In addition, the Help Desk Support Engineer will be responsible for user administration in Active Directory, Office 365, and other ACDI/VOCA software tools; installing software on user machines; performing hardware repairs and installing peripheral equipment; diagnosing and resolving user issues with printers; assisting users in setup of audio-visual tools in conference rooms, and other relevant duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications include a Bachelor’ degree in computer science or other relevant field required. Minimum of four years of experience within the field of IT. The ability to travel to field office sites. Demonstrated interest in international development topics is preferred. Demonstrated excellence in oral, written and reading comprehension abilities. Fluency in English is required. French and/or Spanish language skills are a plus.

Preferred skills include knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 OS, Microsoft Office 2016,Office 365 Administration and it components; Active Directory, DNS and DHCP; Trend Micro Office Scan; Mimecast Email Security and Archive; Windows Deployment Tool; BMC Track IT; basic network trouble shooting, and any VM and VDI experience is a plus.
