About: Founded in 2010 by 3x Olympian, Tracy Evans, Kids Play International, Inc. (KPI) is a nonprofit organization on a global mission to leverage the power of sport to promote equality, education and empowerment by building personal development skills and equipping youth ages 7-18 with mental strength tools to help them reach higher levels of education and employment. KPI implements mixed and same gender year-round sport for development programs in rural Rwanda and Cambodia and youth camps in the U.S. We are looking for a highly skilled, global-minded, and passionate Global Programs Director who has prior experience working in or for a Sport for Development nonprofit.


Strategy Implementation
-Implement KPI’s strategic plan in close collaboration with the Executive Director and Director of Operations and Strategy.
-Provide leadership in the development and implementation of programs and operations in Rwanda and Cambodia in line with KPI’s strategic priorities and in collaboration with the Country Managers.
-Provide leadership in developing in-country partnerships and opportunities to expand KPI’s model.
-Contribute to KPI’s thought leadership by collaborating with like-minded organizations, researching new approaches, and communicating learnings externally through publications and reports.

Operations and Administration
-Provide support to the Global Program Manager and Country Managers to ensure high quality program functions including Finance, Grant Activities, Program Reporting, Coach Training, and general oversight of Program Teams/Coaches.
-Assist the Global Program Manager and Country Managers in brainstorming solutions to structural challenges in staffing, programming, and operations.

Program Management
-Supervise, analyze, and provide high quality leadership and programmatic excellence across all programs.
-Establish short and long-range goals, priorities and objectives for Global Program Manager, In-country Leadership staff and Coaches to determine capacity building and professional development needs.


Graduate degree preferred in International Development, Sport Management, MPH, MBA, or similar field.
Minimum of 5 years of Program Management experience, preferably in Africa/Asia.
Prior Sport for Development Field Experience preferred
Ability to empower, mentor, and help build the capacity of local leadership staff
Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, specifically in analyzing and reporting on data.
Experience executing on strategy across multiple countries and under the Guidance of President or other Executive Leadership staff.
Experience managing a multi-disciplinary team in a cross-cultural setting
Strong financial management skills and experience creating and overseeing budgets
Excellent written, spoken English Skills
