GS-07 is an advanced Trainee. At GS-09, independently performed duties are:
Conducting financial management analysis of complex, interrelated administrative processes.
Evaluating financial systems for effectiveness of internal controls.
Providing and implementing solutions to correct internal control and reporting weaknesses.
Reviewing and analyzing financial reports generated by the financial system.
For the GS-07 Level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level; OR one full year of graduate level education; OR an appropriate combination of graduate level education and specialized experience; OR Superior Academic Achievement (go to this site determine if you are eligible:
The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
Specialized experience is defined as experience receiving and tracking financial correspondence related to the program; reviewing pertinent regulations, policies, and procedures, applying them to limited and routine work assignments in an administrative field; under supervision, performed basic accounting, auditing, or budgeting tasks in support of financial management program.
