Since 1969, we have changed the lives of thousands of individuals in the Denver community by providing employment training, assessment, coaching, placement, and supported employment. We believe that helping individuals gain self-reliance is foundational to the health of individuals, families, communities, and the economy of Colorado.
Our Social Enterprises provide a foundation for our various programs including paid job training opportunities for individuals qualifying for our services. They also provide fulltime employment for 180 people, of whom 75% have severe disabilities including physical, mental and emotional. Additionally, we provide excellent services to our customers that including things like document destruction, administrative support, product assemble and more.
Bayaud Enterprises, Inc. (Bayaud) is partnered with DDHS to conduct outreach and recruitment for a job readiness program called Denver Day Works (DDW), which involves homeless individuals that are not currently engaged in other community programs. The overall purpose of this program is to provide support services and job readiness that may lead to employment, via a real work crew, which pays cash daily.
The Denver Day Works Program (DDW) engages in routine seasonal labor and maintenance of Denver Parks, Public Works Headquarters and other city/private sites to include maintaining flower beds, mowing and weeding, removing trash, cleaning facilities, removing graffiti, painting, irrigation and working with the public.
The Field Lead is an integral part of the program who will focus on managing and assisting with the operation of applications/waitlists to the program and be required to provide various administrative duties which will include maintaining client and service documentation. The Field Lead will execute and coordinate the outreach strategy to connect potential participants to the Ballpark area program. This person will also initiate discussion about employment beyond this project, and connecting folks to the Employment Specialists, if desired. The Field Lead will support participants by facilitating work crews on site, completing work on job sites, facilitating crisis interventions if needed, and connecting participants to proper referrals as needed.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), grammar, and reasoning skills.
Independent worker with little direct supervision, but able to work as part of a larger rehabilitation and employment focused team
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information without breach.
Knowledge of crisis intervention, trauma informed care, and mental health first aid, a plus.
Knowledge of the rehabilitation process in relation to a supported employment environment.
Demonstrate experience providing support services to at least one of the target populations (individuals who have experienced homelessness, individuals with disabilities, individuals who have lived in poverty or been unemployed for long periods of time) a strong plus.
Observe, compare, or monitor data, objects, and people’s behavior to determine compliance with prescribed safety and operating standards.
Must have weekend availability
Must have a license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Able to work cooperatively with Denver City employees as well as the general public.
Ability to develop a good rapport with our participants and understand their job barriers, caused by or exacerbated by personal experiences of poverty and homelessness.
Conduct intakes as well as initial and quarterly assessments with all participants and keep progress notes and service data in put up to date weekly.
$15hr to $25hr DOE + Benefits

This position works on a contract funded by the City and County of Denver, per the city mandate, contractors are required to be vaccinated, if you are not vaccinated, you will be required to get your first vaccination within the first week of employment.
