When a child is born, who they are born to, where they are born, and what health conditions they have at birth significantly influences what opportunities are available in the future. All factors outside of our control. Here at The Sunshine Method, we believe there is another way.
Our Family Support Representative will provide direct support to the CEO and COO of this fast paced organization to establish and maintain relationships with families, and collect individual stories about the children we work with.
We believe that we are collectively in this together, and all provide integral support through hiring and human resources, marketing, account management, impact evaluation, outreach/ development, and follow ups.
Create a positive and empathetic atmosphere for families as they begin the process of working with the Sunshine Community;
Establish and maintain relationships between the company, the children, and their families;
Get to know the children, their interests, personalities, and what subjects they may be struggling with to help match them with the best tutor;
Confirm availability for children to receive services.
Carry out any other duties as assigned.
Eagerness to learn and be adaptable;
Demonstrated commitment to the community through volunteer experiences;
Demonstrated interest in education, and the social sector;
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, environment, and be solution oriented;
High personal awareness and empathy;
Understanding or awareness of the demographics we serve;
Data entry, Note taking skills a plus
Demonstrated professional excellence and achievement;
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously; Excellent organizational skills and attention to details;
Excellent interpersonal skills and follow-up skills;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team;
Previous work experience, especially customer service experience - preferably in education, or social sector
Educational Preference: Bachelors Degree
Language Preferences: English and Spanish
