About the organization
STREETS INTERNATIONAL (STREETS) is an ambitious and successful social enterprise for street kids, orphaned, out-of-school, trafficked and other disadvantaged youth in Vietnam, providing a future of dignity through vocational hospitality and culinary training since 2009. The comprehensive 18-month residential STREETS program includes the Restaurant Café and Oodles of Noodles Center enterprises in Hoi An. We are proud of our 100% track record of 300 grads starting their careers at international 5 star hotels within 30 days of completing the program.
STREETS has been recognized by the Clinton Global Initiative, Hyatt Global Community Awards, the World Travel and Tourism Council, CNN and has been the subject of numerous newspaper and magazine articles, including the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the New York Times and National Geographic.
The job is located in Vietnam (speaking the language is not necessary)
• Oversee the staff of 100+ Vietnamese professionals and program participants, including Program and Enterprise Managers who supervise the education, apprenticing, life skills, housing and hospitality/culinary training of the program.
• Report to the Founder and Board Chair to implement operational plans, provide periodic updates, and to develop strategic directions for continued growth and sustainability.
• Coordinate closely with partner NGO’s and international hospitality and other business partners, while growing these external partnerships.
• Oversight of all budget and fiscal systems, including the fund-raising and annual sponsored events
STREETS is offering an extraordinary opportunity for a mature individual who is ready for an encore or mid-career change and who aspires to the CEO role, as the founder and director transitions exclusively to chair of the board. We are looking for a savvy and experienced international business, education or development professional for the executive management of STREETS in Vietnam. We seek an accomplished, organized, detail and goal-oriented executive or educator. This position is well suited for someone with strong managerial skills and experience with an international NGO or business. Experience in the hospitality industry, as an owner, executive, or educator, would be especially helpful, but is not required.
