This position serves as Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director of Forest Service Human Resources Management, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico
High profile and fast paced Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director of Forest Service Human Resource Management located in Albuquerque, NM. Candidates must be highly effective written and verbal communicators.
Establishes, organizes, and maintains files of correspondence, manuals, and other related information in accordance with USDA regulatory policies and guidance. Reviews all incoming mail and correspondence to determine proper action; and, as appropriate, prepares written responses. Uses a variety of computer software programs involving the application of word processing, spreadsheet, slide-presentation, and statistical database programs to input, update, retrieve, gather, and generate data or reports. Serves as a program liaison to the various administrative and clinical services to assist in developing information, resolve a wide variety of problems, maintain effective interrelationships, and meet program objectives. Works closely with representatives of the various administrative support programs in the management of personnel, supplies, equipment, and space. Performs administrative work, which includes management of an office's schedule or day-to-day plans. (SEE QUALIFICATIONS)
Keeps informed of Deputy Directors’ activities, commitments, and assignments through proper notation and editing of their calendar. Collects, assembles, and prepares reports, information, and other data for the Deputy Directors’ use in delivering speeches, attending conferences, etc. Receive, screen, and answer routine telephone calls for the Deputy Director. Reserves physical and virtual office space, schedules time, contacts participants, etc., prior to meetings and appearances. Oversees and monitors direct support requirements for conferences, meetings, and seminars. Coordinates all Deputy Director travel, filing vouchers, etc.
Qualifications: At least one-year experience closely related to an Executive Assistant working in position(s) equivalent to the GS-09 level.
