About the organization

This position is located in the Program Support Group of the Office of Air Policy and Program Support (OAPPS), a staff office of the Assistant Administrator (AA) for the Office Air and Radiation (OAR). The Program Support Group provides leadership and support for OAR on rulemaking management and methods improvements, cross-office priority initiatives, and external engagements including Congressional activities and various stakeholder processes. Duties

The position requires a person to engage internal and external stakeholders with effective communication and outreach; support top priorities cross-OAR policies and processes; and work independently and/or with small teams.

• Clean Air Act Advisory Committee Activities: https://www.epa.gov/caaac
•Lean deployment and projects: https://www.epa.gov/lean
•Tracking and analyzing data using spreadsheets
•Research efforts
•SharePoint Site and Website maintenance and development

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of federal environmental laws and regulations governing air related environmental protection programs;
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
Skill in using standard data gathering and analysis techniques to collect and review technical information;
Skill in oral communication sufficient to explain policy or procedural requirements to a variety of internal and external contacts;
Skill in written communication sufficient to respond to requests for general information, and assist in development of program reporting and guidance

Salary

GS 7-9 (47,016 – 57,510)
