About the organization

To support EPA’s environmental and public health mission, we are seeking applicants interested in performing various environmental engineering, physical or life science program support activities to accomplish our mission critical work. Environmental Engineers, Physical Scientist or Life Scientist positions could be hired in several different organizations within our Region.

DUTIES :
Incumbent will perform a variety of EPA engineering/scientific program assignments, planning, evaluating, analyzing, coordinating, and conducting special studies. The engineer/scientist will assess environmental data, verify results and recommend solutions on EPA regulations, policies, and procedures.

Bachelor’s plus high GPA (GS-07) or Master’s (GS-09)

SALARY: GS-07 $25.28 per hour, GS-09 $30.92 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS: GS-07 -1 year of full time experience analyzing, interpreting and/or evaluating scientific or engineering data and communicating the results in writing; OR have 1 full year of graduate level education in engineering, physical science or biology, or superior academic achievement in the bachelors academic discipline (2.95 GPA or higher).

GS-09 - You need to have at least one year of full time experience equivalent to the GS-07 level defined as experience assisting with the planning and/or reviewing permits, or scientific projects related to environmental protection; or performing data analysis on scientific projects; OR master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in the academic discipline.

Qualifications
