Environmental and Public Health Advocate
Citizens Campaign for the Environment
About the organization
Citizens Campaign for the Environment is New York and Connecticut's most effective grassroots environmental organization with over 120,000 members. For over 35 years, CCE has engaged in extensive grassroots organizing, public education, research and lobbying leading us to success on critical campaigns that protect public health and the environment. Our goal is to increase the public's influence in the political process by offering members opportunities to get involved, and thereby advancing a strong environmental agenda. Just last year in NY, CCE was successful in permanently banning fracking, removing toxic PFAS from food packaging, banning “Styrofoam,” and protecting our drinking water from emerging contaminants 1,4-dioxane and PFAS.
CCE is hiring entry level Part-Time Call Center Representatives to help protect our water and air, preserve open spaces, and advance renewable energy. Telephone Outreach Staff is integral in maintaining CCE's personal relationship with our members, which allows these campaigns to be successful. As part of our staff, you will educate, fundraise, and organize members around urgent environmental and public health campaigns. We are looking for upbeat candidates with strong oral communication skills that are passionate about environmental issues and enjoy the satisfaction of making a difference. * If interested, apply now!*
