Summary job description
We are currently recruiting an English teacher to teach and design a learning programme that responds to the needs of Blue Ventures staff and partners in Andavadoaka, Madagascar. Reporting to the Site Leader, this is a full time role based in Blue Ventures’ Expeditions base in Madagascar. There are five distinct groups that need targeting so as to develop English Language Communication skills ranging from levels A0 to B2. The successful candidate will be required to develop teaching materials relevant to the needs and culture which can be used on successive expeditions by staff and volunteers and create regular language testing systems to track progress and development. After six months they should have built a cohesive and structured program for English Learning that can be reused again and again.
The successful candidate will be a motivated, proactive and highly organised individual, with experience of teaching in the marine conservation and rural development sectors desirable. Ideally, you will have experience of teaching young learners as well as adults of varying levels and backgrounds.

- Post qualification teaching experience at B2 level and above.

- CELTYL or YL extension
- Competency in French or Malagasy
