Global Communities is seeking a Director, Strategic Growth & Partnership to join the Business Development team at the headquarters in either downtown Silver Spring, Maryland or San Diego, CA.
The Director, Strategic Growth & Partnership (SGP) leads and coordinates the efforts of the SGP Managers and Officers, and other contributors to specific opportunity / proposal teams at all stages of the opportunity development business cycle, in collaboration with key headquarters and field stakeholders. These activities supporting development of individual opportunities include but are not limited to proposal management, proposal writing, desk research, identifying / securing partners, business intelligence (gathering, analysis and reporting), managing / analyzing solicitation pipeline current year and historical data, capture planning / positioning, and strategic networking and relationship building. The Director also supports and contributes to information gathering and analysis, process and tools creation, and capacity building.
The Director ensures consistent compliance and quality of opportunity development work streams and business products. This position contributes to the design and implementation of capacity building activities promoting a business orientation and skills throughout Global Communities.

Undergraduate degree in a related discipline and a minimum of eight years of related work experience or a minimum of 12 years of related work experience.
Minimum of 6 years’ experience with USAID and/or private sector proposal development preferred.
Experience in progressively more responsible development positions managing successful proposals, troubleshooting, assisting and supporting international business development and humanitarian assistance programs.
