Duties

The Director of Human Resources is passionate about Summit’s greatest asset - our people - and plays a critical role in developing and retaining a diverse, world-class faculty.

From onboarding new hires and serving as a culture guide to coaching and supporting leaders on values based feedback and performance conversations, they embody our vision and mission and enable great faculty to grow and stay with us longer.

They lead the team responsible for the planning and execution of our human resources services and systems, which work to meet the needs of our 500 employees.

The ideal candidate is a relationship builder, loves to solve problems, relishes in the challenges of finding ways to work smarter, and has superb project management skills. They are not afraid of difficult conversations or Excel spreadsheets.

As a team lead in our home office, they will work closely with senior leadership and collaboratively with Summit’s Talent team to create an exceptional faculty experience. They will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and manage a Human Resources Manager.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Master’s Degree in a field connected to Human Resources preferred
- 5+ years prior experience in human resources and employee administration work preferred
- Experience leading a team, including managing one or more direct reports preferred
- Previous work with entrepreneurial or educational organizations preferred
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred
- Alternative Certificate/Diploma in Human Resources Management will be considered
