Duties

The Boost Network empowers immunization managers across the globe to get answers, grow in their role and raise their collective voices by enabling them to connect, elevate, navigate and learn. The Director, Global Community Engagement is responsible for managing the core aspects of the program, including program design, partnership engagement, membership recruitment and retention, resource development, budget management and general staff supervision.
Build the Team and Expand Partnerships
• Supervise, mentor and coach direct reports
• Develop and implement onboarding plans for new staff
• Regularly assess team member workloads, adjusting resources and sourcing and managing vendors/freelancers as needed
• Manage partner relationships with external collaborators; identify and build new relationships to expand Boost program impact and sustainability (e.g., World Health Organization and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance)
• Work closely with VP, Global Community Engagement and VP, Resource Development & Policy to manage donor relationships, including regular reporting, identifying and developing strategies and relationships for program growth, and new revenue models
Platform and Content
• Lead the design and management of key online programmatic components, including new features and elements to the Boost platform
• Oversee development and execution of content, webinars, courses, workshops and manage the Community’s general editorial calendar

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree in Public Health or other health related field preferred
• 12+ years relevant experience; international experience highly desirable
• Familiarity with immunization landscape and stakeholders
• Proven grants management experience
• Demonstrated skill in developing and managing project work plans and budgets
• Effectively manage projects so problems are anticipated and solutions identified quickly
• Ability to support strategic development and execution
• Excellent communication and diplomacy skills (active listening, writing, speaking); listens carefully to feedback from staff and adapts plans/actions accordingly
• Strong capacity to manage, mentor and coach others and work with diverse personalities, including supervising the work of colleagues outside of direct supervision
• Strong attention to detail, ability to manage complex tasks, highly organized, flexible, dependable and able to prioritize competing demands in order to meet deadlines
• Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels and with diverse backgrounds, including partner/peer organizations, bilateral and multilateral donors and normative bodies, government officials, Boards of Trustees and executive leadership, staff and other organizational contacts
• Proven experience developing and managing partnerships with diverse stakeholders from varying sectors, including those which offer new or different expertise
