The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) is a global nonprofit organization working for a stronger and more effective United Nations. Established in 1946, WFUNA represents and coordinates a membership of over 100 national United Nations Associations (UNAs) and their thousands of members. WFUNA has three offices at UN Headquarters in Geneva and New York as well as Seoul, Republic of Korea.
The Digital Media & Communications Officer is responsible for innovating and managing WFUNA’s digital platforms including social media channels, website and e-mail newsletters. He/She also has a supporting role for external communications strategy. He/She works with WFUNA staff across all offices on digital outreach and campaigns for programs and projects.

Duties

Website: Is the focal point for wfuna.org. As WFUNA’s web content editor, he/she produces and edits content for all pages, monitors web traffic and works with WFUNA’s web service provider and developers on site updates and issues. Social Media: Oversees strategy, monitoring and management of WFUNA’s social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google+). WFUNA Branding and Marketing: Coordinates the design and production of print and digital marketing/branding materials, including brochures, stationery, presentations, signs/banners and videos. Office 365: Serves as the administrator for WFUNA’s Microsoft Office 365 account and as a resource for staff and interns. Online fundraising: Collaborates with WFUNA Officers on strategy and execution of online fundraising campaigns and initiatives. E-mail Newsletter: Responsible for producing and sending the monthly e-mail newsletter as well as key WFUNA announcements. Tech Support: Responsible for coordinating tech support services for WFUNA. Regular reporting to the Secretary-General on duties. Supervision of interns (as needed) in the New York office. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

3-5 years of documented experience managing websites, social media platforms and communications content; graphic design or video experience preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Masters Preferred).
Well-versed in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Indesign, Salesforce and basic HTML. Proficient in content management systems, e-mail marketing services and web/social media analytics tools.
Knowledge of the United Nations. Nonprofit/civil society experience a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (French and Spanish is a plus).
High energy, results-oriented self-starter who can involve and motivate key stakeholders, staff and interns.
Thrives in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment.
Adaptable, flexible and works well in a small office environment.
Well-organized with close attention to detail and implementation.
