The mission of EPA is to protect human health and the environment. The Clean Air Markets Division (CAMD) is within EPA's Office of Air and Radiation. The mission of CAMD is to reduce air pollution from electric power generation on a regional and national scale while encouraging cleaner electricity generation in an evolving power sector.

Duties

EPA’s Clean Air Markets Division (CAMD) is seeking enthusiastic developers and/or data analysts interested in working with emissions and environmental data. CAMD operates several federal air pollution control programs and, as part of those programs, collects hourly emissions data from power plants to support implementation and compliance assessment. The data are also used for analyses to support new rulemakings and assess program performance and environmental improvement.

We are looking for several candidates with an interest and aptitude for developing web applications, analyzing data, and creating data visualizations. The technology we use includes:
• R
• Python
• Oracle SQL
• JavaScript, HTML/CSS
• Drupal WebCMS
• D3.js
