About the organization
To address humanitarian crises in numerous locations across the world, OFDA has created the RMT and DART structures. The Washington-based RMTs support the USG’s humanitarian assistance efforts in response to slow onset, rapid onset, and complex emergencies in multiple, varying locations, offering operational support to the field-based DARTs and serve as the focal point for coordination among USG interagency partners and other key stakeholders in Washington. The OFDA team members in the field are responsible for coordinating the USG’s humanitarian response to countries in need, establishing programs to meet clearly defined humanitarian needs, and for overseeing OFDA’s current and future humanitarian assistance programming. This solicitation is intended to establish the Deputy Manager for Operations (DMO) cadre and fill multiple DMO and DART Deputy Team Leader for Operations (DLO) positions, each of whom will be responsible for managing the Operations Section on a RMT or DART.
