Are you interested in utilizing your organizational and analytical skills to make a difference in Pre-K to 12 education? Families Empowered is a parent service non-profit located in sunny Houston, Texas and seeks a VISTA to help evaluate and manage its expanding data needs as it assists low-income families in finding schools that work, for them. We are one of the pioneers of “demand-side” parent engagement strategies within the education space. Today, Families Empowered serves over 100,000 parents across Houston, San Antonio, and Austin—all of whom are actively seeking great schools. We listen with compassion and provide bilingual service and solutions, without judgment, with no agenda. Our client families in Houston, Austin and San Antonio are 66% Hispanic/Latino, 24% Black/African American, 3% Asian, and 2% White.
Our Data Management VISTA will manage data in Salesforce updates, dashboards & reporting. Collect, process, and manage a variety of quantitative & qualitative data for program/development purposes. Sort, update, and merge data files from a variety of sources. Develop data cleaning processes & guides for each team. Create processes for current & future data collection and analysis. Support the collection and aggregation of data, including school application & parent feedback. The VISTA will work closely with the Marketing & Communications Director and School Services Manager, support the Chief Program Officer with program reporting and the development team with their data needs. Conduct data reports from a variety of sources (including Salesforce, Excel, Google Suite, etc.) to share internally with Families Empowered program & development teams. In partnership with the programs team, create program- and school-specific reports to share externally with Families Empowered partners.
