Duties

Primary activities include but are not limited to: Ensure use of ACDI/VOCA’s cost proposal best practices across a range of opportunities, donors, and schedules., especially flagship programs for USAID, USDA such as Food for Peace, Food for Progress. Direct adjustments to process and deadlines throughout cost proposal process based on specific needs of each bid while upholding corporate interests. Simultaneously manage multiple cost proposals, exercising real-time good judgement to prioritize work while meeting all agreed to deadlines. Provide leadership and encourage teamwork, mentor/train and support multi-organizational teams in developing an effective customer-focused and forward-thinking cost proposal process. Interface regularly with senior management and executive leadership to resolve issues that may jeopardize cost proposal and/or submitting high quality proposals on time. Analyze solicitations (RFP/RFAs) to determine cost proposal requirements; develop compliant and responsive budget and narrative within established proposal deadlines. Collaborate with proposal team in order to ensure that cost proposal is reflective of technical design. Responsible for accuracy of all data in the budget and the budget narrative. Develop budget templates according to the solicitation requirements and take a lead in preparing proposal budgets and other required forms of the cost proposal.
