Duties

• Planning support leading up to the Leadership Academies, Unified Leadership training, and
Athlete Leadership training and events – work collaboratively with and/or support SOI
Organizational Excellence team, SOI departments, and regional offices
• Support post-workshop activities: participant reporting, data collection, and analysis,
preparation of reports to donors, etc.
• Manage contracts, payments and budget-related reporting including assisting Director,
Leadership Development with budget review and management
• Administer grants for athlete leadership and unified leadership including developing and
monitoring the process for data collection and create regular reports and analysis of data
collected
• In collaboration with staff, capture and draft stories on athlete leaders activated in Special
Olympics and the community
• Assist with the organization and sharing of athlete led content and assets including collaborating
with other regions and departments
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ work experience in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced studies in education, international development, communications or related field
preferred
• Experience in event management
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good computer, word processing, and PowerPoint skills
• Excellent written and organizational skills
• Capable of high levels of consistency, accuracy, confidentiality, and excellent attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with individuals from a range of cultures
and professional backgrounds.
• Strong ability to reliably and independently manage and coordinate projects to completion
• Team oriented specifically- solution-focused, open to feedback
• Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities

Salary

45,000-50,000
