Social Solutions is seeking experts in private sector productivity and social assistance in support of the 5-year Pacific American Fund supporting 12 Pacific Islands Countries. The Pacific American Fund is a grant-making facility funded by USAID and administered by Social Solutions on behalf of USAID. The Fund addresses critical development challenges across 12 Pacific Island Countries. One of the primary focus areas for the USAID Pacific American fund is to support civil society organizations (CSOs) and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through grants that support Pacific Islands in their response and recovery from the secondary economic and social impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The consultancy is home-based. No travel is necessary in the conduct of the consultancy.
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree or higher preferred) in a relevant field;
At least 5 years of experience in relevant technical areas;
Demonstrated experience working in or with Pacific Island countries with awareness of local development challenges and opportunities;
Experience working with an international development organization and knowledge of grant-making processes and procedures;
Strong technical evaluation skills;
An ability to exercise independence (both perceived independence from the organizations applying for funding and ability to apply independence in judgment); and
Strong English writing and verbal communication skills.
