One in five (20.0%) report experiencing a food shortage and lacking money to buy more within the past 12 month. Many students at Hennepin Technical College who experience basic needs insecurity do not receive public assistance.
Member Duties: Increase low-income and underrepresented students’ access to food resources and wrap around support to increase persistence and completion by assessing student needs and creating an implementation plan for a SNAP E&T program and sustainable food resources.

Approximately $12,500 per year
This position is a part of the Iowa & Minnesota Campus Compact Community Corps VISTA Program.
