The Denver Day Works Case Manager will utilize an initial and ongoing assessment process to support participants in identifying and meeting their basic needs to reduce barriers to employment. A navigator connects participants to local resources to meet client-identified needs related to food, shelter, clothing, physical and mental healthcare. Execution of these key roles may include assistance with public benefit applications and intervention, case management, conducting VI-SPDAT and needs assessments to gauge housing and resource needs, or linking participants to internal or external providers for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) outreach, representation, and advocacy work for disadvantaged populations.

This position will work in the field with participants much of the time. They will have office days, but will be in the field, working side by side, chatting with participants and getting to know their work strengths and limitations as well as their resource navigation needs.


Serves as part of the Bayaud Works team within Bayaud Enterprises, cooperatively working with participants to provide an array of services which may best serve the person’s needs.
Develops a good rapport with people experiencing poverty and/or homelessness and understand their hurdles caused by or exacerbated by these conditions.
Connects participants to relevant health, food/nutrition and shelter resources using trauma informed practices.
Assists participants with money managing/budgeting.
Assists participants with daily crises that impede their ability to work.
Provides support and advocacy services to participants for assistance in maintaining access to public benefits and/or community resources.
Assists participants in navigating any barriers that arise. For example: what to do when you miss a court date, have a warrant, loose your personal belongings, etc. and walk with them through the process of overcoming these hurdles.
Conducts initial intakes and needs assessments, quarterly re-assessments and data entry into the E-Logic database to ensure resource needs are identified, tracked and addressed.
Works collaboratively with a wide variety of constituents and adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
Provides information regarding benefit changes or other changes that may occur with changes in income.
Completes all documentation and data entry as required, in a timely manner.


$17hr to $25hr DOE
