This position holds the primary responsibility of assisting the Director of Business and Program Operations - MENA. The Business Operations and Finance Officer (BOFO) will provide budget support and guidance to management and program staff during pre-award, implementation, and closeout. The BOFO will work closely with program staff to assist in developing, managing, and reconciling budgets and project expenditures in support of program objectives. Additional support provided to the program management support may include supporting the Regional Accountant with monthly reconciliations, providing surge support to Regional Subgrants Manager, and assisting the Financial Reporting team with funder reporting.



Minimum of 4 years working in a fast-paced office environment;
Relevant University degree or equivalent professional and lived experience;
Excellent communications and organizational skills;
Demonstrated intermediate expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
Proven ability to set priorities, manage time effectively and handle on-going assignments;
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability skills;
Proven ability to work both independently and as an effective team member;
High degree of social adaptability and sensibility to cultural differences;
Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate multiple time zones.

Familiarity with USG rules and regulations, particularly USAID and US Department of State;
Two years’ experience working with an International NGO;
Proven grant proposal and budget development experience.
