About the organization

BRACE is a community-based disaster coalition that leads emergency preparedness, response, and recovery efforts in Escambia County. We train and mobilize volunteers, and collaborate with local, regional, and national partners to ensure the disaster readiness of our community.

Duties

The BRACE Training Coordinator will work with the Citizen Corps Coordinator and the Volunteer Coordinator to recruit individuals and groups in the community to be trained in Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Firefighter Rehab, FEMA Disaster training, Shelter Management, Points of Distribution and Government Points of Distribution management training, CPR and AED, First Aid, as well as additional training that may present itself during their year of service. The BRACE Training Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the location, educational supplies, trainers and/or food when required for each training. He or she will keep track of the sign in sheets, documents, test scores and reports required for the position. He or she will also be responsible for maintaining the warehouse of training supplies, obtaining quotes for additional supplies and ordering supplies or requesting donations for supplies when needed.

Teaching/Tutoring, Education, Recruitment, Team Work, Computers/Technology, Communications, Public Speaking, Community Organization.

1 year in disaster services preferred.

Salary

$513.94/Bi-weekly (pre-tax)
