About the organization
BRACE is community-based disaster coalition that leads emergency preparedness, response, and recovery efforts in Escambia County. We train and mobilize volunteers, and collaborate with local, regional, and national partners to ensure the disaster readiness of our community.
Are you a computer wiz? If so we need your help. We are a disaster based organization that reaches out to train the public before a disaster, works in the Emergency Operations Center during a disaster and helps the community to rebound and rebuild after a disaster. We need someone who can assess our current systems and our knowledge in the use of our systems to decide if we should use another program or if there is a more efficient way to use the technology we have. You will also work with our partners and government agencies to help to enhance communication during all phases of emergency management.
General Skills: Communications, Public Speaking, Team Work, Leadership, General Skills, Teaching/Tutoring.
At least a year of IT experience preferred, either work experience or education.
