Duties

Ensures risk management and compliance initiatives are implemented and makes recommendations for agency policies, protocols and procedures related to risk management and compliance.
Leads the consultation with management regarding risk reporting protocols, data, corrective actions related to incident risk assessment, follow up plans, reducing future risk and program outcomes data.
Leads incident risk assessments and provides managers with objective reports identifying issues or concerns related to agency policies, protocols, state/federal regulations and COA standards.
This position will comply will all federal, state and local laws and regulations, including those or ORR, ICE and the NYS Office of Children and Family Services
Oversees the review of risk incidents and reports presented to management and program leaders.  
Collaborates with regulatory agencies to provide required information for investigations, coordinate interviews and collect all documentation.
Assist managers with developing systems for measuring outcomes related to safety, permanency and well-being for all programs. 
Participates in health and safety committee and associated activities.
Contributes and facilitates on audits, credentialing initiatives and other projects in collaboration with oversight and regulatory agencies.
Collaborates with insurance broker on applications and claims processing and with legal counsel

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social service fields
At least 1 year experience working with child welfare standards, best practices, and compliance issues.
Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish 
Must have a current, valid driver’s license per Agency guidelines. Travel required. 
Required to work a flexible schedule including night and weekend hours as necessary.
Ability to work with economically and culturally diverse population.
