Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth was founded in 1886 with a focus of healing and strengthening children in a family setting. Today, our mission continues:

to strengthen children and families so they can live safely, independently, and productively within their home communities.


Maintains positive partnership with referring agency including coordinating required services for youth and families, maintaining timely and effective communication regarding case activities.
Assists with providing crisis intervention services for youth experiencing acute distress and dysfunctional behaviors to address safety concerns.
Provides supportive case work counseling to youth and families including all assessments, treatment and discharged plans.
Coordinates psycho-educational groups as needed. 
Schedules and ensures youth’s home visits are goal oriented and work toward building trust, communication and healthy relationships.
Facilitate comprehensive treatment reviews according to agency and state regulations.
Completes all state mandated and agency documentation according to policy and regulatory requirements.
Complies will all federal, state and local laws and regulations, including those or ORR, ICE and the NYS Office of Children and Family Services
Assists with ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment including attending various internal and external meetings and case reviews.
Prepares court reports and attends court proceedings as scheduled and required.
Adheres to agency policies and procedures; follows and supports agency mission, vision and values including participating in internal surveys and data collection for continuous improvement initiatives.


Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services or social services fields.
Child Welfare and/or Case Management experience is strongly encouraged.
Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish 
Must have a current, valid driver’s license per Agency guidelines. Travel required. 
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including night and weekend hours as necessary.
Must be able to be subject to On-Call
Ability to work with economically and culturally diverse population.
