About the organization
Are you a looking for an exciting opportunity to serve in a strategic role that will benefit low-income youth and their families? If so, Communities In Schools of Central Texas would love to meet you! The Communities In Schools Basic Needs VISTA will manage important basic needs initiatives and partnerships, while piloting a new tool with regional staff, and refine key program infrastructure for a future Client Basic Needs Program. Gain experience in a high-performing nonprofit serving thousands of inspiring, low-income youth. Use advanced collaboration tools in Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Forms and other software. Conduct program evaluation, and design processes, procedures & materials that will support an expanded Client Basic Needs Program. Create a shared "knowledgebase" showcasing internal programs & topical resource sheets to build the capacity of staff and families navigating specific basic needs.
The Basic Needs VISTA will create important processes, materials, tools and partnerships that compose the future of CIS' basic needs program. The VISTA will also be responsible for consolidating, improving and documenting program processes, building & maintaining new tools that share available resources with staff, and running basic needs initiatives & drives that staff will use for clients' benefit.
Permits working at another job during off hours, Car recommended.
