About the organization

ATFL is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization comprised of Americans of Lebanese heritage and others who share a common interest in Lebanon and the goals of the ATFL. We believe that we can make an important contribution to our great nation by enhancing the bilateral relations between the United States and Lebanon. ATFL’s mission is motivated by American interests and values, and how these attributes will lead us to improved future bonds between our two countries. ATFL consists of prominent Lebanese Americans who have distinguished themselves in the fields of politics, business, law, medicine, arts, and sciences. ATFL is nonsectarian, independent, and nonpartisan. Our purpose is to improve the civic, cultural, educational, and charitable ties between our two countries, and the common values that unite us. Duties

ATFL’s internship program will seek to provide young adults passionate about US-Lebanon relations with the opportunity to serve with the leading US organization promoting closer US-Lebanon relations. The internship will provide adults the opportunity to learn about the US government policy making as it relates to foreign policy. Interns will also be able to gain valuable professional experience working directly with an ATFL staff member.

Interns are expected to work at least 15 hours per week for a minimum of a three-month period. Interns should be based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area so that they can participate in ATFL’s hybrid, remote and in-person, schedule and take advantage of all of the opportunities that this region offers.
