Come join MCC’s Land and Agricultural Economy (LAE) team of a cutting-edge international development organization, where you can design and implement high-impact agricultural programs to reduce poverty through economic growth! MCC delivers large-scale development projects to countries that meet MCC’s strict eligibility criteria. As an Associate Director, you will use your experience and expertise to work with Country Directors, technical teams, the private sector, civil society, and foreign counterparts to develop and implement projects and activities targeted to unlock a country’s economic growth. Depending on the country, you will lead and support agriculture programs in transportation and storage infrastructure, irrigation systems, access to finance, blended finance, and nutrition – all while looking at new ways to design better agricultural programs. You will travel regularly to your assigned countries to support the country team’s development and implementation of compact projects and activities. This position is a great fit for RPCV with non-competitive eligibility and experience and training in agriculture.

To qualify for pay band 3b you must also meet the following:
Have at least one year of specialized experience relevant to the position duties and comparable to the MCC Pay Band 4a (GS-13) or an equivalent level which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, this experience is defined as:providing input to support the development and implementation of large, complex integrated agricultural development projects in developing country contexts; conducting technical and public policy assessments of agriculture-related initiatives and programs; participating in meetings with partner counterparts and in interagency meetings regarding international development programs and policy; and revising and implementing program planning and policy development initiatives. Note: This experience MUST be well documented within your resume or application.
