Chemonics seeks an Antiretroviral Team (ARV) Supervisor to support the Global Health Supply Chain- Procurement Supply Management Project based in Arlington, VA. The ARV Team Supervisor will oversee the end-to-end process for procurement of ARV commodities from receipt of requisition orders (ROs) from country offices and other clients, to client approval, sourcing and purchasing, and coordination on delivery. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

GHSC-PSM is the primary vehicle through which the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) procures and provides health commodities for countries receiving U.S. government foreign assistance. The project also provides technical assistance to improve the efficiency, reach, and sustainability of in-country supply chains and is supported with funding from the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative, USAID’s family planning and reproductive health program, and USAID’s maternal and child health program.

Responsibilities include:
Oversee all aspects of the procurement of ARV commodities from receipt of RO to handoff for delivery to supplier invoicing


Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience, required
Minimum 7 years of procurement, supply chain, and/or technically relevant work experience
Minimum 3 years of experience managing teams of at least 3 people
Demonstrated understanding of USAID and other Federal Acquisition Rules
CIPS, CPSM, or other relevant procurement certification preferred
Experience living or working in developing countries preferred
Technical product knowledge of one or more GHSC-PSM product areas
Willingness to work overseas for up to 4-8 weeks per year
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings
Strong knowledge of MS Office applications
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated integrity, independent thinking, judgment, and respect for others
Fluency in a secondary language desired
