Arizona Serve is an AmeriCorps program of Prescott College that connects passionate people to transformative community projects that aim to combat poverty.

Duties

A. Volunteer Coordination: The AmeriCorps member will be responsible for
coordinating volunteer activities and supporting volunteers in Southern
Arizona to help assemble harm reduction kits, participate in street
outreach, offer HIV and Hepatitis C testing, run deliveries, and other
volunteer roles. After experiencing each volunteer role, the volunteer
coordinator will be helping to train, place, and support volunteers in
Southern Arizona.
B.  Volunteer Orientation: The member will help host monthly volunteer
orientations that cover a history of SPW, Harm Reduction 101, and an
overview of the history of racialized drug policy in the United States.
C. Programs and Events: The AmeriCorps member will host volunteer
events such as kit making parties, recruitment events, and volunteer
appreciation events.

Qualifications

A. Schedule Requirements: The member will be expected to be at the
office 2 days a week, but timing is flexible within business hours. Some
weekends will be required.
B. Education, Skills and Abilities
● 17 years or older, no upper age limit. All ages are welcome and
encouraged to apply
● Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and
Internet-based communications
● Proficiency with Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides,
Forms) helpful
● Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting in
a consistent, energetic, positive manner
● Strong organizational and time management skills

Salary

$8,471 for 8 months of service
