Arizona Serve is an AmeriCorps program of Prescott College that connects passionate people to transformative community projects that aim to combat poverty.

Duties

Coordinate Monthly Resource Fairs: The Coordinator plays a lead role in
supporting the EELS team with organizing the monthly Resource Fairs. Activities
include coordination with the site, development of logistics (layout, equipment,
needed supplies) for each site, communication and coordination with
participating agencies, coordination of outreach activities in the surrounding
community, organizing of volunteers, support for the EELS/ CAA component of
each fair for rent and utility assistance, data collection, and reporting.
B. Support for Apartment Sweeps: The Coordinator plays a lead role in
supporting the EELS team with organizing the Apartment Sweeps. Activities
include coordination with the site’s property managers, development of logistics
(layout, equipment, needed supplies) for each site, distribution of flyers in
advance, coordination of rent and utility assistance team for the day-of activities,
communication with participating agencies, organizing of volunteers, data
collection, and reporting.
C. Support for EELS Outreach to Tenants: The member will work with the EELS
team to identify and implement outreach strategies to reach as many tenants as
early as possible to avoid a potential eviction. Activities could include mailings,
phone calls, coordination with area agencies, attending and tabling at events,
and presentations.

D. Support for VITA Free Tax Assistance : The member will work with the EPN
Manager to provide outreach on

Qualifications

Schedule Requirements: Normal hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m
Monday through Friday; however, we may ask (or the Member may request) to
work some hours on evenings and weekends in order to serve clients
telephonically or virtually who need assistance outside of those hours.
B. Education, Skills and Abilities
● 18 years or older, no upper age limit. All ages are welcome and encouraged to
apply
● Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet-based communications
● Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting in a
consistent, energetic, positive manner
● Strong organizational and time management skills
● Ability to manage and track key program metrics and data
● Ability to be flexible and work well in a variety of situations
● Effective problem-solving skills
● Ability and desire to work with diverse community members
● Friendly and effective interpersonal skills
● Ability to handle confidential client information and comply with required rules,
regulations, procedures and practices of workplace and program activities;
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Knowledge of or willingness to learn about trauma informed approaches
● Ability to speak and write Spanish a plus
● GED or High School diploma required; additional education a plus
● Access to reliable transportation and legal driver’s license

Salary

$8,471 for 8 months of service
