Anaconda High School Mentor

Montana Campus Compact

About the organization

Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) advances the public purposes of colleges and universities by deepening their ability to improve community life and to educate students for civic and social responsibility. Our organization is one of 35 State Affiliates of Campus Compact, a national coalition of more than 1,100 colleges and universities representing over 6 million students dedicated to promoting community service, civic engagement, and service-learning in higher education. MTCC also acts as an intermediary to place AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps VISTA members across the state of Montana.

Montana Campus Compact AmeriCorps Leaders commit to a year of service at a Montana school, college, or nonprofit where they support student success, promote college attainment, and achieve educational equity in our state. AmeriCorps Leaders mentor students, implement programs, and make a difference at nearly 20 service locations across Montana!

The Institute for Educational Opportunities at the Montana Technological University (MT Tech) is a consortium of programs developed to provide K-12 students with the support they need to achieve success in higher education. The member will be based in Anaconda (a 30-minute drive from Butte), serving students at Anaconda High School by providing one-on-one mentorship to students, helping them to apply for college, explore careers, and succeed in school.

AmeriCorps service gives young people an opportunity to enter new communities after college. During a year of service, you will have the opportunity to build connections with other dedicated national service members while improving the lives of those who are most often underserved and overlooked.

AmeriCorps members receive a modest living allowance, professional development, and an education award that may be used to repay federal student loans or to cover future tuition expenses. They are also eligible to receive health insurance and child care support, in addition to other benefits. Learn more and apply at!
