About the organization
Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) serves as the intermediary for this project. MTCC is a CEO-led coalition of colleges and universities that support civic engagement, service learning, and volunteerism across the state. Every year we place cohorts of full-time, part-time, and summer AmeriCorps members with schools, colleges, nonprofits, and government agencies in Montana. The AmeriCorps projects we facilitate increase educational equity, break down barriers between higher education and community organizations, and address the root causes of poverty in communities across the state.
Position Summary: Montana State University Northern provides comprehensive education opportunities in north-central Montana. In this position, you will support the Teachers of Promise Pathways (TOPP) initiative in an effort to help more high school students explore options for obtaining teaching degrees. This position will involve frequent regional travel as you coordinate with the TOPP director to develop relationships with high school administrators, counselors, teachers, parents, and students. You will also help to develop a program to connect participating students with mentors in order to provide them support while completing high school and transitioning to college. Apply Today!
Must be at least 18 years old.
Bachelor’s, or higher degree preferred; Associate’s degree and relevant work experience considered.
Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or a U.S. Legal Permanent Resident Alien. Or legally residing in a state under one of the following legal residency classifications: refugee, asylum or asylee, temporary protected status or deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA) status.
Must not be registered, or required to be registered, on a state sex offender registry or the National Sex Offender Registry.
Must not have been convicted of murder, as defined in 18 U.S.C. 1111.
Must be willing to consent to a criminal history check.
