About the organization
Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) serves as the intermediary for this project. MTCC is a CEO-led coalition of colleges and universities that support civic engagement, service learning, and volunteerism across the state. Every year we place cohorts of full-time, part-time, and summer AmeriCorps members with schools, colleges, nonprofits, and government agencies in Montana. The AmeriCorps projects we facilitate increase educational equity, break down barriers between higher education and community organizations, and address the root causes of poverty in communities across the state.
Position Summary: At the Arlee Rehabilitation Center (ARC), victims of trauma find healing and therapy by helping to rehabilitate neglected, under-socialized and traumatized rescue dogs and horses. In this position you will help ARC to develop its programming by supporting the creation and implementation of their inaugural summer camp, by writing grant applications and assisting in fundraising efforts, and by recruiting instructors for social-emotional learning programs. Must be at least 18 years old.
Bachelor’s, or higher degree preferred; Associate’s degree and relevant work experience considered.
Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or a U.S. Legal Permanent Resident Alien. Or legally residing in a state under one of the following legal residency classifications: refugee, asylum or asylee, temporary protected status or deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA) status.
Must not be registered, or required to be registered, on a state sex offender registry or the National Sex Offender Registry.
Must not have been convicted of murder, as defined in 18 U.S.C. 1111.
Must be willing to consent to a criminal history check.
