Community Pathways to Family Health and Recovery
About the organization
Community Pathways to Family Health and Recovery (CPFHR) is an all-volunteer, community-based nonprofit dedicated to improving our community’s support for children and families impacted by adverse events, with a special focus on those affected by substance use disorders. Our mission is to create and sustain compassionate community pathways to family health and recovery by cultivating dynamic partnerships, conducting relevant research, developing and evaluating resources, and advocating for data-driven policies and education. Current projects include researching the needs of children and caregivers affected by substance abuse and developing strategies to reduce barriers and ensure that supports and services are available across the continuum of care. Community education and youth support services are additional priorities.
This project is part of the Community Corps VISTA Program, operated by Iowa & Minnesota Campus Compact.
