About the organization
Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) serves as the intermediary for this project. MTCC is a CEO-led coalition of colleges and universities that support civic engagement, service learning, and volunteerism across the state. Every year we place cohorts of full-time, part-time, and summer AmeriCorps members with schools, colleges, nonprofits, and government agencies in Montana. The AmeriCorps projects we facilitate increase educational equity, break down barriers between higher education and community organizations, and address the root causes of poverty in communities across the state.
Position Summary: The AmeriCorps Senior Leader at Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) will provide support to our AmeriCorps members throughout the state. Based at the MTCC network office on the University of Montana campus, they will help to coordinate training opportunities, promote a strong sense of cohort solidarity, and support other MTCC operations. Responsibilities will include facilitating regular cohort check-ins, traveling to perform visits at AmeriCorps service sites, and sharing the MTCC AmeriCorps story through social media. Must be at least 18 years old.
Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or higher degree preferred; Some college considered.
Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or a U.S. Legal Permanent Resident Alien.
Must not be registered, or required to be registered, on a state sex offender registry or the National Sex Offender Registry.
Must not have been convicted of murder, as defined in 18 U.S.C. 1111.
Must be willing to consent to a criminal history check.
