About the organization
Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) serves as the intermediary for this project. MTCC is a CEO-led coalition of colleges and universities that support civic engagement, service learning, and volunteerism across the state. Every year we place cohorts of full-time, part-time, and summer AmeriCorps members with schools, colleges, nonprofits, and government agencies in Montana. The AmeriCorps projects we facilitate increase educational equity, break down barriers between higher education and community organizations, and address the root causes of poverty in communities across the state.
Position Summary: The TRIO Upward Bound program at the University of Montana serves students from the University of Montana, Hellgate High School, Big Sky High School, and Browning High School, helping them to develop the skills and motivation they will need for success in post-secondary education. In this position you will communicate with partner schools to identify participants for the Upward Bound program and conduct after-school mentorship sessions with high school students. You will also support in preparing and delivering the Upward Bound Summer Academy. Additionally, you will help to recruit and support a team of college AmeriCorps members to further expand the mentorship activities of the Upward Bound program. Apply Today!
Must be at least 18 years old.
Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or higher degree preferred; Some college considered.
Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or a U.S. Legal Permanent Resident Alien.
Must not be registered, or required to be registered, on a state sex offender registry or the National Sex Offender Registry.
Must not have been convicted of murder, as defined in 18 U.S.C. 1111.
Must be willing to consent to a criminal history check.
