About the organization

Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) serves as the intermediary for this project. MTCC is a CEO-led coalition of colleges and universities that support civic engagement, service learning, and volunteerism across the state. Every year we place cohorts of full-time, part-time, and summer AmeriCorps members with schools, colleges, nonprofits, and government agencies in Montana. The AmeriCorps projects we facilitate increase educational equity, break down barriers between higher education and community organizations, and address the root causes of poverty in communities across the state.

Duties

Position Summary: Located in the Fort Peck Nation, Poplar High School educates students in the community of Poplar, MT. As an AmeriCorps Leader, you will mentor underserved high school students by helping them to explore their options for future careers and education. This position is focused on supporting young people transitioning into Poplar High School from Juvenile Detention facilities. Your service will give them the support they need for long-term success. Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.

Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or higher degree preferred; Some college considered.

Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or a U.S. Legal Permanent Resident Alien.

Must not be registered, or required to be registered, on a state sex offender registry or the National Sex Offender Registry.

Must not have been convicted of murder, as defined in 18 U.S.C. 1111.

Must be willing to consent to a criminal history check.

Salary

$1853.08 monthly
