Texas Health and Human Services has hundreds of programs and services that help more than 7 million Texans a month live better lives, and it’s our strong foundation of dedicated people who make it happen every single day.


•Assess availability of community programs and supports and identify barriers preventing older residents from aging well and living well by creating and implementing community-wide surveys
•Educate the community about resources and develop programs
•Support efforts to engage older adults and stakeholders in small communities
•Develop and implement a plan to engage new and existing partnerships
•Coordinate and facilitate presentations and collaborative meetings
•Opportunities for travel, conferences, networking and training will be provided

As an Age Well Live Well VISTA Member, you will serve as a catalyst for change while working under limited supervision. You will work with community members to advance local solutions for local challenges. You can gain experience in public health, Evidence-Based Interventions, partnership building, and community engagement while fighting inequality in a community with a fast-growing older adult population.
