About the organization
Alzar School is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to “build leaders who positively impact the world.” We do this through various programs and learning opportunities, principally as a semester high school for 10th-11th grade students from all backgrounds and locations within the United States, Chile, and other countries. We believe that experiential learning happens powerfully at the intersection of academics, outdoor adventure, and cultural exchange.

The Advancement Coordinator supports larger fundraising and giving efforts led by Alzar School’s Director of Advancement and Executive Director. As a team, we will work to manage a comprehensive giving campaign, as well as an alumni relations program. We firmly believe that strong candidates exist with the requisite skills (listed below), which can transfer to successfully fill the role of Advancement Coordinator, even if the individual has not previously worked in advancement or fundraising. Our leadership team will work closely with the Advancement Coordinator in order to implement systems and strategies, set up logistics, and coordinate campaign responsibilities and engagement opportunities.
For this position, we are seeking a motivated individual with the following skills:
- innovative, creative, and solutions-oriented
- adaptable, able to take challenges in stride
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- organized and outcomes-driven
- strong communication skills, enjoys interacting with stakeholders (ie students, alumni, families)
- ability to learn technology systems quickly, including computer and database systems
We are looking for an individual who is excited by the prospect of helping individuals and organizations realize their philanthropic priorities and communicate Alzar School’s mission as a worthy investment. This is a salaried, full-time, year-round position. The Advancement Coordinator will be expected to work from the Alzar School campus in Cascade, Idaho. However, remote work options may be considered for the right candidate.
