The Adult Education Center (AEC) represents the next chapter of the Adult Reading Center’s celebrated legacy. We are doing business under a new name and with a new logo and branding. This opportunity has afforded us to embrace what our organization has evolved into throughout our 35-year history of serving adult learners most in need to achieve their education and employment goals. Our new mission is to Engage, Educate, and Empower communities of adult learners by advancing literacy skills and employment opportunities to better achieve a better quality of life. Duties

As a Volunteer Coordinator VISTA, you will play a vital role in building volunteer capacity with the Adult Education Center volunteer program. You will gain skills in professional development training to implement and strengthen the volunteer recruitment program, assist in facilitating training initiatives, and evaluate the program. As a VISTA, you will assist in maintaining volunteer requirement and managing databases. In this role, you will mobilize local resources to increase the capacity of adult literacy programs to build lasting solutions to poverty.
