Duties

The primary purpose of this position includes purchasing and procurement transactions, office machine operations, word processing, and special project assignments. The incumbent works closely with Forest Service employees as well as the public.

•The responsibilities listed are at the full performance level.
•Distribute office supplies and special order items, reconcile purchases within the appropriate database in a timely manner.
•Maintain procurement/purchasing files in accordance with regulations and agency directives and ensures procurement documentation is signed and attached.
•Requisition office supplies, equipment, forms, printing services, maintenance services, etc. as required.
•Receive visitors and handle calls of a routine nature, such as locations of key personnel and recreation opportunities.
•Enter data into existing or newly developed databases using work center software systems.
•Prepare audits and transmit time and attendance reports for employees in the unit.
•Review outgoing correspondence for grammatical accuracy and conformance with policy.
•Examine documents and data for completeness, discrepancies and other special requirements.
