About the organization

The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service (PBS), is the landlord for the federal government. Nearly 500 of us work in PBS Region 9. Together, we are the landlord and real estate developer for the civilian federal government in California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, and the Pacific island territories. We manage 36.5 million square feet of workspace in 260 local communities. We own 177 assets totaling more than 18.8 million square feet and manage over 900 leases totaling more than 17.6 million square feet. The rent federal agencies pay is our major source of funding.

Duties

Administrative Officer (AO) responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Interprets and disseminates new policies, procedures and instructions from Central and Regional administrative offices.
Establishes controls, and monitors the performance of administrative functions.
Coordinates common area-wide training classes for all employees.
Coordinates required travel associated with training, FEMA, offsite conferences and meetings.
Oversees travel for the staff, including filing out travel authorization and vouchers.
Responsible in procuring supplies, library materials, administrative and other operating equipment.
Monitors use of Government wide commercial credit card to pay for small purchases.
Resolves problems related to delinquent or overdue payments involving Government credit card users for both travel and purchase cards.
Processes invoices for payment.
Arranges for meetings and conferences, including making room

The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service is looking for an entry level Administrative Officer position, possibly starting at the GS-07 or GS-09 level (depending on qualifications) with promotion potential to the GS-11.
